Neural primer or Neural charge workout is done using low volume, explosive movements without over taxing the central nervous system and cause a metabolic "burn".
Use it when you feel too beat up with failure training or lifting too heavy for too long and using too many grinding reps.
Use it to refresh yourself, feel good, when short of time and still get a training effect, use it before the "Game day".
Don't get caught up with the exercises that I have mentioned. Use 10 yard sprints, speed ladders, vertical jumps, med-ball throws/toss, speed bench/squat/deadlift, Olympic lifts (only of you're good in technique)...the list is endless. Get creative!
Choose a push movement, a pulling/slam movement and a jump or lower body movement.
There is no progression model. This isn't supposed to be for progression. The only progression you will have is in your game/sport or in the weight room while attempting max lifts and also in life in general when you feel pumped and ready to kill!
As soon as the circuit turns into metabolic conditioning and heart rate goes up, stop and go home. Not every training session has to be CrossFit.
