Do small small things in your day to day life bother you? Does it prick your brain when someone mocks you or challenges you in ways you’ve never even imagined like telling you in your face you aren’t capable of achieving something or scaring you to the core?
Ever thought why you give way to these voices from external sources even when you know no one knows you better than you yourself. That negative energy travels through their mouth and into your brain and when it gets there your brain tries to search for a counter point, something that could fight this negative voice. but when it isn’t able to find a concrete core belief within, it gives in to the external energy and believes what people perceive of you or if something is unattainable to you. So how do we develop the belief so unshakable and strong that no person, thing or situation could rattle us even for a millisecond?
Simple, do the things that you are scared to do – which not only means facing your fears, facing failures head on and doing uncomfortable shit, but a large part of it means shedding your ego and letting it all go just so that you could do the thing that you need the most. Ego is something that you attach yourself with, you start identifying yourself with and which starts to control and limit how you behave in front of others, what decisions you make and how you you lead your lives.
But when you do the things that you are weak at, not very skilled where you could get mocked, laughed at, looked down upon or get judged in general, you free yourself of the shackles of your ego, the prison of what people think of you and lead a free, confident life knowing what’s important and where to go. Initially, it may fuck you up, get very scary and uncomfortable because of the social conditioning and the perception that we have of ourselves i.e the ego, but gradually wirh practice, one can build the belief that no matter what, you will do the thing that is most important to you without looking outside but looking within oneself. And once you believe in yourself there’s nothing thst could bother you, no challenge is too big because you’ve been there, at that uncomfortable place where you shed your identity and found yourself, and it’s ok to be there again and succeed, again😊
On my trip to Thailand, I tried my hands at Rock climbing. Even though I failed miserably even in those patches that are considered easy. I know that things do take time to build and need practice to master. You cannot just do something once and succeed, at least I can’t because don’t have a general knack of climbing so I may need more practice. It’s good that I took up this challenge even when I had the option to relax on the beach. This is how I will find myself and grow in life, to fail, shed my ego, let it all go and do the thing that I am scared to do.
