Time vs Money

What’s the most prized possession? Does the equation change from young age to the old? What’s true wealth? Is it banknotes that can help you possess whatever jewel you look at? Or is it the feeling and experiences that are never bought but the ones you decide to take on and courageously move forward in their pursuit? ——————— The irony is that majority of the people who run after million$ or billion $ do so at the expense of their time and the things that they love to do and in the quest for earning more they take shit from others and from themselves. And later on when they look back they see tremendous grind at the work place, for what? They see dreams not realised, trips not taken, friends’ calls unattended, no time spent on that beach, ditching the plans to trek up a mountain. All for what? For earning a few $. Is it really worth it? And now they are rich and famous but have no energy to do what they always wanted to do. ———————- The things that you really wanna do in life don’t require a lot of money. You wanna hike those coastal plains? You need to courageously take that first step, no expensive stuff to be packed. You wanna write a book? Write the small excerpts daily investing half n hour daily and then collate the same over one fine weekend. You wanna strengthen your body? It doesn’t require an expensive gym membership. Your body is enough and the world is your play ground. ————————- None of these require extensive monetary investment, but yes there is investment of time. Find out solutions, don’t blame it on your work life. It is you to blame as you always have a choice. Choose wisely. Stop blaming it on your work life. It’s your choice not to act upon your calling and the things that you’ve always wanted to do. When you are young and ditch your calling, you scar your soul. Eventually there are multiple scars as this rat race continues. Finally when you retire and look back, your soul is dead. What a waste.
